Select your membership tier on the Join the Leash Club page, fill in your details and your dog's profile, and pick a meet and greet time right on the request form. We'll confirm before your first walk.
You won't be charged until after the meet and greet and your first walk is confirmed.
Before your first walk, we'll schedule a brief in-person visit at your home. This gives your pet a chance to meet a member of our team in a familiar environment, and gives us a chance to learn your dog's personality, preferences, and any special needs firsthand.
Meet and greets are included at no charge and typically take 20-30 minutes.
You won't be charged when you submit your request. Billing begins after your meet and greet is complete and your first walk is scheduled. From that point, you'll be billed at the start of each month based on walks scheduled for that month.
Any add-on walks or services booked mid-month are charged at the time of booking.
Use the address checker on our homepage to confirm your address is within our service area.
If you're outside our current area, you can sign up to be notified when we expand, we're growing quickly.
Essential ($26/walk) is designed for 1-2 walks per week. You set a recurring schedule and book walks as you need them throughout the month.
Standard ($25/walk) is our most popular tier, designed for 3-4 walks per week. Same scheduling flexibility as Essential, with a lower per-walk rate and a welcome gift.
Daily ($22/walk) is every weekday, every week. No booking needed, your walker simply shows up on your standing schedule. Includes priority scheduling, a welcome gift, and 10% off all other services.
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your membership tier at any time through the member portal. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
Yes. You can place your membership on a vacation hold up to twice per year, for a minimum of one week and a maximum of one month per hold. No charge during an active hold.
Holds must be requested with at least 48 hours notice before the hold begins. You can request a hold through the member portal or by emailing hello@portcityleashclub.com.
You can cancel anytime through the member portal or by emailing us. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Any walks already scheduled and within the 48-hour window will still be charged.
No. There is no enrollment fee to join the Leash Club. You're only charged for walks scheduled each month.
At signup, you select your preferred days and time frame (morning, early afternoon, or late afternoon). Your schedule auto-populates each month based on these preferences.
You can adjust individual dates at any time through the member portal, as long as changes are made at least 48 hours before the scheduled walk.
We offer three time frames: Morning (8:00–11:00am), Early Afternoon (11:00am–2:00pm), and Late Afternoon (2:00–5:00pm). You select a time frame rather than a specific time.
Yes. You can move a walk to any available date in the current or following month through the member portal. Changes must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled walk.
Walks cancelled or changed within the 48-hour window will still be charged since your walker has already been assigned.
Walks cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled time are still charged. This protects our walkers who have already committed their time to your slot.
We understand that emergencies happen. If you have an exceptional circumstance, reach out to us directly and we'll do our best to work with you.
Yes. Saturday and Sunday are part of your regular selectable schedule, just like any weekday — no separate add-on or booking step needed. Set your walk days when you sign up or update them anytime through the member portal.
Our walkers are carefully selected, locally based dog lovers. Every walker on our team is background-checked, pet first aid certified, and personally trained before their first walk.
We don't use a large rotating pool of strangers. Our team is small, trusted, and held to a consistent standard of care.
We work hard to keep your dog with a consistent, familiar walker. Your dog's detailed profile is on file and reviewed by every walker before they arrive, so even if there's a change, your dog's preferences and needs are always known.
Consistency is one of our core commitments, your dog isn't a booking in a queue.
Yes. Port City Leash Club carries full pet care liability insurance covering all walks and services. Every walker operates under this coverage, so you and your dog are always protected.
Your walker will contact you immediately. For anything serious, we'll take your dog to the vet and you'll hear from us directly, not after the fact. All incidents are documented and followed up by our team.
Our liability insurance covers vet costs resulting from incidents during a walk.
Every 30-minute walk includes your walker arriving at the scheduled time, a leashed walk in your neighborhood, photos taken during the walk, and a written summary sent to you when they're done.
Drop-in visits are 20-minute check-ins while you're away, feeding, playtime, and a photo update. Most pet owners book 3-4 per day for short trips.
Overnight stays are around-the-clock care for your dog, including evening settling, overnight supervision, and daytime check-ins tailored to their routine. Ideal if your dog needs continuous company or you want full peace of mind while you're away.
Yes! Drop-in visits are available for cats as well as dogs, including feeding, litter box care, playtime, and a photo update.
Yes. Single walks are available to non-members at $29 per walk. Pet sitting services (drop-ins and overnights) are also available without a membership. You can request a service on our website.
Daily-tier members receive 10% off all other services as part of their membership benefits.
At the start of each month, you're charged for all walks scheduled that month at your membership per-walk rate. If you add a walk mid-month, you're charged at the time of booking.
There are no flat monthly fees, you only pay for the walks you schedule.
We accept all major credit and debit cards through our secure payment processor (Stripe). Payment details are stored securely and never shared.
Since we bill at the start of the month for anticipated walks, a walk cancelled more than 48 hours in advance won't be lost. The credit rolls over to the following month and is applied to your next billing cycle. Walks cancelled within 48 hours are charged in full, as your walker has already committed their time to your slot.
